Perhaps his taste for polka-dotted suspenders and striped sneakers foretold what the future had in store for him, because in 1988, Alex Vaughan added "kids entertainer" to his list of musical endeavours.

A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Alex was writing songs at age 8 and performing in bands since he was 14. He has written over 100 "kids" songs, and with the duo "Audrey and Alex", has been featured on numerous Canadian radio and television programs as well as in regular rotation on Radio AHHS in the States. The duo has also had the pleasure of hosting their own hour-long television special. Their albums have won two East Coast Music Awards and they have over 2,500 concerts under their belts. Alex's background in pop, jazz, and rock'n'roll, as well as his skill in writing catchy, humorous lyrics, results in material that is fun and entertaining for all ages.

With the best of his original songs plus classic songs from Sharron, Lois and Bram, Raffi and even the Beatles, Alex offers a relaxed but engaging performance; great for birthday parties, holiday celebrations, company picnics, etc. - a "must see" for children and 'children at heart'!
